Ham and Cheese Puff

Introduction

A wonderful entree for brunch! It's light and fluffy! This recipe must be refrigerated overnight prior to cooking! A wonderful entree for brunch! It's light and fluffy! This recipe must be refrigerated overnight prior to cooking!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 Loaf [16oz] Italian Bread
    3 cups Cubed Cooked Ham
    3/4 lb Monterrey Jack or Muenster Cheese, cubed
    Medium Onion, diced
    4 Tablespoons Butter
    8 Large Eggs
    3 1/2 Cups Milk
    1/4 Cup Yellow Mustard

Directions

Toss cubed bread, ham, and cheese and put into a 13x9x2" baking dish. In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender; transfer to bowl. Add eggs, milk and mustard to onion; mix well. Pour over the bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 55-65 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
