Mama's quick beans

Ingredients

    Can of pinto beans
    bacon
    garlic
    cummin
    onion powder
    Shredded cheese

Directions

Dice bacon in small bite size pieces, fry in sauce pan for aprox 5 mins or until done but not too crispy on med-high heat.

Add the beans, garlic, cumin, onion powder, stir. ( I dont measure. The amounts are estimates so it may need a lil more or less of the spices depending on your taste). With a potato masher, mash beans to your liking. I usually leave half unmashed, so mashing for a few seconds. After just a few minutes of cooking at med-high heat, turn to simmer add the brown sugar ( I use the splenda version), stir add the cheese on top and cover until melted.

Serves my family of six sparingly. Sooemtimes I add a second can of beans and keep the remaining ingrediants pretty much the same, to make bigger serving sizes. The 2 adults usually get about 1/2 cup and the 4 kids typically get a 1/4 cup serving more or less...
