Introduction

My family dislikes the corn syrup taste of reduced fat mayo, so here is a subsitute that is even lower in fat and tastes better than 'store bought' reduced fat mayo. My family dislikes the corn syrup taste of reduced fat mayo, so here is a subsitute that is even lower in fat and tastes better than 'store bought' reduced fat mayo.

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Helman's Canola Real Mayonnaise
    1 cup Dannon nonfat plain yogurt made into cheese according to directions.

Directions

Line a sieve or colander with paper coffee filters and place over a large bowl. Add yogurt and drain until the solids are reduced by 1/2. Discard whey. Takes about 2 hours to drain.

Mix mayo and yogurt solids together and use as you would mayonnaise in salads and as a sandwich spread.
