Lisa's Homemade salsa

Submitted by: LANSELMI

Introduction

Great for snack, parties and picnics. Once you try homemade, you will never want to eat jarred salsa again. I also like knowing what exactly what I am consuming. Great for snack, parties and picnics. Ingredients

8 medium hard tomatoes, 1 medium jalapeno pepper, 1 small white onion, cilantro, lime juice, extra light olive oil, salt

Directions

in a food processor blend the onion, jalapeno pepper and cilantro. Then quarter your tomatoes and add them to the food processor gradually. Once done, add salt, olive oil and lime juice and mix some more. For a chunky version you can still do the onion, jalapeno and cilantro in the food processor to make sure it is fine but you can dice the tomatoes. If you plan on eating the salsa the same day, chunky is better. If you do not plan on eating it all in one day, then use the food processor method as it lasts longer and the tomatoes do not get infused with the heat of the jalapeno
