Bacon BBQ Chicken

Introduction

A smokey oven chicken smothered in bacon and BBQ - can't beat this as a summer favorite. A smokey oven chicken smothered in bacon and BBQ - can't beat this as a summer favorite.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

4 Chicken Breasts, 4 ounces each (Tyson)
6 slices of Louis Rich Turkey Bacon, uncooked
1/2 cup KC Masterpiece Hot n' Spicy BBQ Sauce
    1/2 cup water
    1 tsp minced garlic

Directions

Preheat oven to 400' F

Pound out the chicken so it is an even 1/4 inch thick.

Lay the chicken in a 9x13 baking dish

Dice up the uncooked turkey bacon into small pieces. You can save calories by using only 3 or 4 pieces of turkey bacon - my family just prefers it to be more "bacon-ey"

Evenly cover the chicken in the uncooked bacon.

Mix the BBQ sauce and water together to make a nice drizzle.

Pour the BBQ mixture over the chicken evenly.

Evenly sprinkle the garlic over the dish.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is done.

The calories for this may be over-estimated simply because you do not eat all the run-off sauce from the chicken.

Makes 4 servings: 1 serving = 1 chicken breast

  • This was good! I used regular KC masterpiece since I dont really like 'spicy' and it was great! I forgot to flatten the chicken out though, causing me to have to add 8 mins cooking time *sighs* lol I will be making this again! - 6/8/10

  • Very very good stuff. I don't like KC Masterpiece, but it works well with Open Pit as well. Very simple to put together!! - 6/4/10
