Corn Chowder

Ingredients

    Ham, extra lean, (5% fat), 2 slice (6-1/4" x 4" x 1/16")
    Olive Oil, 3 tbsp
    Onions, raw, 1.5 large
    Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp
    *Flour, white, .25 cup
    *Kosher Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp
    *ground tumeric, .5 tsp
    Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 6 cup
    *boiled white potato/no salt/no skin, 2 serving
    Yellow Bell Pepper, 1 serving equals 1.8 oz or about 10 strips, 2 serving
    Sweet Corn, Fresh, 4 ear, large (7-3/4" to 9" long) yield
    Whole Milk / Vitamin D, 1 cup
    Cheddar Cheese, .5 cup, shredded
    *Monteray jack cheese, 4 oz

Directions

Sautee diced ham in olive oil. Drain on paper towels. Use oil to sautee onion and peppers. Add butter. Cook until soft. Stir in Flour and spices. Add chicken broths and diced potatoes. Add corn from cob. Add milk and cheese. Add ham back in.
