Introduction

Light and very tasty. You can vary the amount of garlic to your taste. Light and very tasty. You can vary the amount of garlic to your taste.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    4 oz whole wheat pasta
    1/4 cup olive oil
    6 garlic cloves
    1/2 cup chopped onions
5 basil leaves (or 1 tsp dried basil)
    dash of kosher salt

Directions

Boil pasta according to package directions. Chop garlic, onion and basil,if fresh. Put oil, garlic basil and onions into a pan. Heat until garlic and onions are cooked, usually 7-10 minutes. Drain pasta, add olive oil, stir. Add salt.
Makes 2 -2oz servings.
You can also add veggies or meats to this base mixture, but I did not account for the calories. And I prefer this without any additional flavors to change the taste.

  • This recipe is great.. I added a can of italian style tomatos and omitted the onion... Hubby won't eat whole wheat pasta and that is what I used... I just didn't tell him. He never knew. - 8/6/10
