Introduction

Ingredients

    1 lbs flank steak, trimmed
    1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
    3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
    2 tsp sesame oil
    1tsp chili sauce (such as sambal oelek)
    1/8 tsp black pepper

Directions

Preheat broiler or grill.
Pierce steak gently on both sides.
Combine remaining ingredients as a marinade.
Marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

Remove steak from marinade and place on broiler pan with cooking spray.

Reduce marinade to a thicker sauce. Brush steak with reduction and broil 5 minutes. Remove and let rest 5 minutes. Cut diagonally across grain.
