IntroductionThis is my personal recipe. Found a good way to sneak extra veggies with out the kids knowing. Not as fast a popping a frozen one in the oven but a lot better for you. This is my personal recipe. Found a good way to sneak extra veggies with out the kids knowing. Not as fast a popping a frozen one in the oven but a lot better for you.
1 lb. 93% Lean Ground Beef,
2.25 market pantry mozzarella finely shredded cheese 2%
1 pkg.t Oven-Ready Lasagna noodles
2.25 cup Pasta Sauce, Ragu, Organic, Traditional
2.25 cup fat free cottage cheese-small curd,
1 whole Green Peppers cut into strips
.5 med Onions, raw
1 tbsp Garlic powder
First start by pouring sauce into sauce pan
Add bell pepper, onion and garlic powder
Simmer until veggies are soft.
Mean while brown meat (I add extra garlic and Italian seasonings)
Puree sauce and veggies
Take a 9x13 baking dish....
add .5c sauce ( bottom and work you way up)
a layer of pasta
.75 c of cottage cheese
.5 c mozz. cheese
and 1/3 the meat
.5 cup sauce
**** repeat process 2 more times******
add remaining sheets of pasta
.75 c sauce
.75 c mozz cheese.
Cover with foil and bake 45- 60 min
serving size is 12
