Submitted by: CPEANUTNumber of Servings: 15
Ingredients
-
1 cup instant oatmeal
1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup wheat germ
4 Tbsp. flax seed meal
10 servings of protein powder
1/2 cup nonfat dried milk (I used goats milk due to quality)
3/4 cup dried cranberries, sweetened
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup almonds
1/3 cup maple syrup (can substitute with agave nectar or honey)
1 cup light Silk, plain
1 cup egg beaters
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9 by 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Place all ingredients except the syrup and eggs in a food processor and pulse until the mixture is finely chopped. Add the syrup and eggs and pulse until the mixture is well combined. It will resemble a coarse paste.
Transfer to the baking pan and spread evenly. Bake until just done, 20-25 minutes. Cut into 15 squares.
*If you want to sweeten it up then drizzle some melted chocolate over the top of the hot bars. Then top with crushed almonds.
