Lemon Garlic Fish Spread

Submitted by: CRIS76

Introduction

This is a recipe for a spread that goes great on most fish, especially tilapia. The portion is very large so if you wanted to cook more fish and save on calories, you would feasibly spread it thinner on the fish. NOTE: teaspoon = t; tablespoon = T

1/2 cup Kraft fat free mayo
1/2 cup Kraft reduced fat parmesian cheese
    1 T lemon juice
    2 t garlic powder
    1 t black pepper
    1 t dried oregano

Directions

Spoon 1/8 the mixture onto each piece of fish.

If you are using this on tilapia, spread it on and bake in a 350' F (preheated) oven for 35 minutes uncovered. The edges will brown a bit.

Fantastic! I crave this recipe and have used it with both tilapia and grouper. Try using fresh minced garlic in place of the garlic powder, a little bit of chopped green onions, and a dash of hot sauce. (I left out the oregano). Unbelievably delicious! - 7/2/10

I had salmon waiting for me at home when I saw this, and boy am I glad I saw this. This spread was DELICIOUS. I made it with light mayo and regular Parmesan cheese so it was a bit higher in calories, but omg, so good. I would swim in a vat of this stuff!! Going to try it on chicken next. - 6/23/10

  • Very yummy. Made it with chicken, but the next time, I will flatten the chicken to make it thinner, and it will taste even better (if that is possible). - 9/12/11

  • Really good! I skipped the oregano and put in just a little green onion as DLKHARMON suggested - but didn't add the hot sauce as we don't like spicy food - and it was great! We used it on chicken tonight and I'm going to try it on fish soon. Very easy and yummy. - 10/7/10
