Jess' Veggie Burgers (losingjess)

Introduction

My first attempt at making veggie burgers... dident come out so bad but could have used a little more seasoning. My first attempt at making veggie burgers... dident come out so bad but could have used a little more seasoning.
Number of Servings: 11

Ingredients

    2 cup Bob's Red Mill TVP - (texturized vegetable protine)
    1/2 cup oatmeal
    1/4 cup minced onions
    1/4 cup minced carrots
    2 tbls bbq sauce
    1 tbls onion & herb Mrs. Dash seaoning
    1 tsp browning sauce
    2 tsp worchestershire sauce
    2 egg
    1/2 cup kidney beans - mashed with fork

Directions

Hydrate TVP & let cool

Cook rice & let cool

Mix all ingredients together and refridgerate for 30 min - 1 hour.

Place a peice of cling wrap on burger mold or other burger shaped item (I used the top of a small pepperidge farm cookie tin), shape mixture into a ball and press into mold untill packed down firmly. wrap the cling wrap around the bottom of the mold and unmold. repeat untill you have 11 patties. Freeze untill ready to use.

spray nonstick pan with cooking spray and fry over medium high heat 2-5 minutes per side depending on thickness.
