Turkey Burgers, Taste of Greece in a Pita

Ingredients

1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. plain fat-free yogurt
2 green onions, green and white parts separated
and thinly sliced
1/2 c. packed fresh mint leaves, chop finely
1 lb. lean ground turkey
1 1/4 oz feta cheese, finely crumbled
1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
2 whole wheat pitas, cut in half
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
Directions
1. Prepare outdoor grill,for covered direct grilling on medium Or use a indoor grill, or a pan with cooking spray on med. heat.
2. In small bowl combine 1/2 cup yogurt, white parts of onions, and half of the chopped mint.
3. In large bowl, with hands combine turkey, feta, coriander, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper, the green parts of onions, remaining mint, and remaining yogurt. Mix well, then form into 3 1/2 in. round patties (each 3/4 inch thick)
4. Place turkey patties on hot grill ,cover, cook 12 to 13 minutes. Turning once. Internal temp. of 165* F. The centers should lose its pink color. If cooking in a pan, cook turn once till browned and no loner pink in center.
If grilling heat pitas on grill for 2 minutes. If cooking inside on stove ,heat up in microwave or oven, just until warmed.
5. Open pitas. Divide burger's, tomato slices and yogurt sauce among pitas.
Makes 4 main dish servings.
