Sauce for Stir Fry

Introduction

You can use ground ginger, but fresh ginger gives this sauce a nice zip. You can use ground ginger, but fresh ginger gives this sauce a nice zip.
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    1/4 cup corn starch
    2 TBS. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 TBS. fresh ginger root, minced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    3 TBS. light soy sauce
    2 TBS. cider vinegar
    2 tsp. chicken base
    1 1/4 cups water
    1/4 cup dry sherry


Directions

Makes 3 one cup servings.

Combine first 5 ingredients in a jar/container. Add soy sauce and vinegar. Shake until blended. Add broth, sherry and water. Shake well. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze in one cup amounts.
