Beef Stew




Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb sirloin steak-cut into 1/2 inch pieces
    3 strips turkey bacon
    8 small red potatoes
    2 medium carrots
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
    3/4 cup thawed pearl onions
    3 garlic cloves
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp dried marjoram
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1/2 tsp thyme
    1 & 1/2 cup reduced sodium beef broth
    6 cups egg noodles

Directions

Put all ingredients (except egg noodles) in a 5-qt slow cooker and stir. Cover and cook 8-9 hours on low or until meat is tender. Cook egg noodles as directed on package.

Makes 6 servings (1 cup noodles & 1 cup stew)
