Introduction

This recipe was handed down for 5 generations (not mine, I am Polish) by my sisters best friend's great, great, great grandmother. I really like this recipe and I believe so will you. ( the only change I made to the original recipe was to use 1/2 ground turkey (85/15) and lean ground beef (93% lean) This makes A LOT of meatballs, but they will go FAST!!! Ingredients

    1-1/4 lb 85/15 ground turkey
1-1/4 lb 93% lean ground beef
    1 C. bread crumbs
1/2 c. grated and 1/2 c. shredded Romano cheese ( the original recipe called for 1 c. grated)
    1 Tablespoon dried Parsley flakes
1 teaspoon sweet basil - dried
    1/4 teaspoon oregano
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    3 large eggs
    2 cloves garlic

Directions

**This is calculated for each meatball approx. 1", I use a med-small icecream scoop.
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. ( I use my hands)
form into small meatballs.
Fry in 1/2 olive oil and vegetable oil over low-medium heat until golden brown, turning as you go (on my glass top stove I use the 3 or 4 setting.)
Drain on several layers of paper towels to remove excess oil.
** this recipe was calulated factoring in the oil absorbed as best as possible

Number of Servings: 60
