Pan Roast Chicken Drumsticks with Potatoes



Introduction

This is a very simple and easy method for making Roast Chicken with Potatoes getting the same flavour as an oven roasted one.The Worcestershire Sauce helps to caramelise the Chicken and Potatoes giving it a rich browned look and smoky flavour.Serve with a Salad and Whole Grain Dinner Rolls for a complete Meal. Ingredients

    500gms.Skinless Chicken Drumsticks
    200gms.Potatoes
    12 Dinner Rolls(1oz.)
    MARINADE
    3.5 tbsps. Lea&Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
    1.5 tsp.Black Pepper Powder
    0.15 tsp.Salt
    SAUCE/GRAVY
    1.5tbsps.Corn Flour(Corn Starch)
    1 cup Water
    1 pinch Salt


Directions

PREPARATION
Skin the Chicken Drumsticks and wash---pat dry.Prick all over with a Fork.Peel the Potatoes and prick all over with a Fork.Mix the Ingredients of the Marinade well and add to the prepared Chicken and Potatoes.Marinate covered for 1 hour.
Mix the Corn Flour and Water with Salt to taste to a smooth paste.
METHOD
Spray a heavy bottomed Pan with the Pam's Spray.Arrange the Chicken Drumsticks and Potatoes evenly on the bottom of the Pan and add all the Marinade to these .Spray lightly on the top ofthe Chicken and Potatoes.Brown on low heat by turning these around till evenly browned on all sides.
Cover with a tight lid and simmer till cooked.
Remove the Chicken and Potatoes onto a warmed plate.Slowly stir in the Water and Corn Flour Mixture into the Juices left in the Pan.Continue stirring till the Gravy thickens to personal taste.Pour over the Drumsticks and Potatoes and serve with Salad and Bread for a Meal.
