Brown Snoodle
Submitted by: LOVERMINEIntroduction
It's almost a brownie, almost cookie dough, but it's neither! It's a snoodle! Enjoy this snoodle with your family, or by your indulgent little self. ;) It's almost a brownie, almost cookie dough, but it's neither! It's a snoodle! Ingredients
-
One tbsp whole cloves
One tsp ground cinnamon (or one stick)
1 1/3 cups almond milk
Two cups whole grain flour
1/2 cup fair trade cocoa powder
Five tbsp sucanat (a kind of minimally-processed sugar)
1/4 cup molasses (blackstrap or not)
Two tsp vanilla extract
Two tbsp chamomile blossoms
Two tbsp tarragon
Directions
First, simmer the milk with the cloves and cinnamon until it's turned slightly tan and/or you can smell it (med-low heat). Strain with a bowl underneath to catch the milk. Gather all your dry ingredients into one bowl. Stir until well-mixed. Add the liquids and stir more. When the mixture forms a nice dough and there's little flour left out, get a small brownie pan and flatten the dough out into it. Cut into segments. Eat anytime you like.
Note: If the dough falls apart because it's too dry, add more milk/juice.
