Introduction

I made this from a mash-up of recipes by Dreena Burton using things I had on hand. They turned out pretty well, considering! Better than an energy bar with weird ingredients. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 cup quick oats
    2/3 cup barley flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp sea salt
    2 tbsp ground golden flax seed
    1/4 cup agave nectar (or maple syrup)
    1 1/2 tsp yacon syrup (or backstrap molasses)
    1 tsp vanilla
    3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce (or grapeseed oil)
    2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds
    1/2 cup hemp seeds
    1/4 cup raisins
    1/4 cup carob chips
    1/8 cup unsweetened coconut

Directions

Mix together dry ingredients (except flax) in medium bowl. Then mix ground flax and wet ingredients in small bowl. Add wet to dry, then add mix-ins. Form into 12 cookie shapes (will need to flatten) and bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees on parchment lined cookie sheet.
