Awesome Bran and Fruit Muffins

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup butter, melted
3 tbsp molasses
1 1/2 cups wheat bran
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped dried fruit (apricots, cherries, etc.) or raisins or dried cranberries
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 F. Combine first five ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix dry ingredients and add to wet. Mix well. Stir in fruit. Spoon into muffin tin lined with paper cups. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Makes one dozen medium muffins.
