Crab Cakes (from the newer Old Bay can)

Submitted by: STARR12961

Introduction

These are the best crab cakes I have ever had. Barely any filler. Better crab cakes than you will find in most restaurants. These are the best crab cakes I have ever had. Barely any filler. Better crab cakes than you will find in most restaurants.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 Lb Blue Crab Meat
2 slices Natures Own White Wheat Bread (crust removed)
1 Tbsp. Kraft mayonnaise with Olive Oil
    1 tsp. yellow mustard
    1 Tbsp. Parsley flakes
    2 Tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning
    1 Egg, slightly beaten

Directions

Cut bread into small cubes. Add Parsley and Old Bay. Add Mayonnaise, mustard and egg and mix together with whisk or spoon. Fold in crab meat (I prefer backfin lump). Separate into 4 large patties. Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes if possible - it helps it to stay together but you can skip this step if pressed for time. Broil on broiler pan sprayed with cooking spray for 5 minutes on each side.

Very filling crab cakes. Better than you can get out at most restaurants. You can use the same recipe to make crab balls except you need to deep fry them and you really need to refrigerate them for a while to stay firm.
