Granola & Cereal Protein Bars

Introduction

Lower calorie & fat, & higher in protein version of a recipe that incorporates cereal & oatmeal in a snack bar. Lower calorie & fat, & higher in protein version of a recipe that incorporates cereal & oatmeal in a snack bar.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 cup Cheerios
    1 cup Cascadian Farm Multi-Grain Squares
    1 cup Old-Fashioned Oats
    1/2 cup natural peanut butter
    1/2 cup Splenda, granulated
    1/2 cup sugar-free pancake syrup
    1/4 cup raisins
    2 tbsp mini-chocolate chips
    2 scoops vanilla protein powder

Directions

Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine cereal, protein powder, and raisins. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the syrup & Splenda. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until well blended. Pour the peanut butter mixure over the cereal mixture and stir well. Add the chocolate chips and stir again. Press into the prepared pan. Allow to cool until firm, then cut into bars. Makes 12 bars.
