Introduction

I have used this recipe during my children's growing up years but haven't made them in several years This a little different because mine used an 18 oz jar of peanut butter and a small round box of oatmeal. Ingredients

    1 cup sugar
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1 cup peanut butter
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    3 eggs
    4 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1 (6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
    1 cup M&M candy-coated chocolate pieces
    1 cup chopped peanuts, optional
    1/2 cup raisins, optional

Directions

Makes 48 cookies, about 3"

Cream sugars, butter and peanut butter. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in oatmeal and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips and M&M candies plus the peanuts and/or raisins, if desired (they are not included in calorie/nutrition count.) Place on ungreased cookie sheets with medium cookie scoop, about 2 tbsp size, about 2" apart. Bake 350 degrees, 12 to 14 minutes.
