Basil and Tomato Personal Pizza

Submitted by: PANSYLADY2

Introduction

This just sounded good. I have fresh basil in a herb garden and got some fresh tomatoes. Wanted pizza, and this is the result. You can vary the calorie content by changing out the pita for another type of pizza base and using a different kind of cheese and seasonings. This just sounded good. Directions

Separate the pita into two rounds. Slice the tomatoes very thin and place on the pita, sprinkle the shredded fresh basil leaves, add the minced garlic, and top with the shredded mozzarella. Drizzle the olive oil over the both pita halves. Puy the pita halves on a cookie sheet and place in a 350 degree oven that has been preheated.
