Mom's Green Bean Casserole

Introduction

A friend's mom fixed this when I was a kid, and I loved it. I made a few adjustments to bring the calorie count and fat level down. A friend's mom fixed this when I was a kid, and I loved it. I made a few adjustments to bring the calorie count and fat level down.
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    24 oz french-cut green beans(preferred, any type will do), canned or frozen
    1 6 oz can French's French fried onions
    1 can Campbell's Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom soup
    3/4 C milk, nonfat
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    black pepper to taste

Directions

Thaw the green beans, if using frozen. Take the water chestnuts and cut into slivers. Combine all ingredients, reserving 1/2 can of fried onions.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Stir. Top with remaining fried onions. Bake an additional 5 minutes.

Serving = 1/2 cup
