Low Fat Zippy Hummus

Introduction

Wanted hummus without any added oil except the tahini. Here is a version I really like. A serving is 1/2 cup.
I love this on a tamari seaweed rice cake.
Wanted hummus without any added oil except the tahini. Here is a version I really like. A serving is 1/2 cup.
I love this on a tamari seaweed rice cake.

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 can chickpeas, drained and well rinsed.
    4 cloves of garlic
    4 TBSP tahini
    4 TBSP lemon juice
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp ground cumin
    2 tsp chili powder
    1/4 tsp tabasco (or to taste)
    1/2 cup greek style yogurt

Directions

Makes 5 servings of 1/2 cups each.
Drain the chickpeas and rinse well. Process in a food processor with the garlic until texture is what you like. Add spices and yogurt and process.
