Judy's Home Made Popcorn

Submitted by: HEYJUDE71

Introduction

Nothing like the real thing! I mix Olive Oil and Butter to keep the oil from scorching and give it a good flavor. I do use popcorn salt not the regular table stuff. It does make a difference. Ingredients

    * Popcorn Kernels, 6 tbsp
    * Land O Lakes Butter with Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    * Salt, 1 tsp

Directions

-Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in popper (or pan on the stove) till melted.
-Add 6 tbsp of your favorite popcorn kernals (this is approximately a heaping 1/3 cup
-Add popcorn salt in the pan for the best distribution with the least amount of salt used.
-Cover popper (pan)
-If you are using a popper, then the mixing is done for you. -If you are using a pan, you will have to gently shake the pan back and forth over the heat source to keep all the particles warming at the same rate and not burning.
-Listen for the popping to begin
-When the popping slows to 4 or 5 seconds between pops,
then remove from the heat source and pour into a bowl.
-It will be very hot to start; however, it is ready to enjoy!
