I reduced the amount of cocoa, omitted the agave/honey, and also added a serving of chocolate Amazing Grass to include some veggies.

I reduced the amount of cocoa, omitted the agave/honey, and also added a serving of chocolate Amazing Grass to include some veggies.

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2 cup oat bran
    2 cups water
    1 Tbsp dark cocoa powder
    2 Tbsp chia seeds
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    dash of salt
    1 scoop chocolate Amazing Grass (optional -- if not used, subtract 30 calories)

    Top with nut butter if desired (not included in calculations).

    Instead of the original recipe's honey/maple/agave, I use a sugar free syrup, stevia, or some sugar free maple (not included in calculations).

Directions

On a stovetop, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil and add oat bran. Cook until most of the water is absorbed, stirring constantly, then add the rest of the water, the chia, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Remove from stove and mix well. Let sit for 15 minutes. Stir in sweetener, top with nut butter, and enjoy.
