Berry Sauce

Introduction

Great for pancakes, french toast, and plain yogurt. Use different berries to change it up! Great for pancakes, french toast, and plain yogurt. Use different berries to change it up!

Ingredients

    2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
    1/2 cup cool water
    4 teaspoons cornstarch
    2 Tbsp Honey
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    Dash salt

Tips

Double the recipe for a family and to freeze some


Directions

First get out a quart-sized saucepan. Measure in the water and cornstarch. Stir until the cornstarch dissolves. Add the blueberries, nutmeg, lemon juice and salt. Cook and stir the mixture over medium heat until it thickens and boils. Let it boil for about a minute. Add honey. The sauce will be a beautiful purple and taste delicious over pancakes. Makes 2 servings
