Introduction

Hummus with no oil Hummus with no oil
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    One Can Bush's Garbanzo (Chick Peas)
    1/2 Cup Fat Free Plain Yogurt
    3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
    1-2 Cloves Garlic (or 1/2 tsp. of Garlic Powder)
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp Black Pepper
    1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
    1/2 tsp Chili Powder (optional)

Directions

Strain and rinse chickpeas.

Combine all ingredients in food processor and blend until desired consistency.

You can add water 1 Tablespoon at a time to thin as needed.

  • I made this per the recipe, going with the 2 fresh cloves of garlic and 1/3 tsp chili powder. I thought the flavors were very intense, especially the pepper and garlic. Next time I'll use less of each. But in terms of hummus--- and no oil?! Awesome! Didn't miss the oil one bit! - 11/11/10
