Patch Popovers
Submitted by: PATCHMOMMAIntroduction
Not low calorie, but good ingredients and a great side for soups and stews. A nice treat every now and again. 1 serving would be 2 large popovers. Recipe makes 6 popovers. Ingredients
-
1 cup whole wheat flour (can use white for a fluffier popover)
1 cup goat milk (can use cow milk as well, any fat %)
2 large eggs
dash salt
Directions
Grease muffin tin or pan very well.
Thoroughly mix flour, salt and milk, then add eggs. Do not overbeat, but you do want the eggs fully incorporated.
Bake in muffin tins or a bread loaf pan at 425 for 40-45 minutes. Try not to peek as opening the oven can cause them to deflate.
