Low Fat & Good for You Meal

Introduction

This is something I threw together one night so I could have a low fat supper.
It's good for you, it's filling and almost no fat.

This is something I threw together one night so I could have a low fat supper.
It's good for you, it's filling and almost no fat.


Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    2 cups Mixed Veggies (frozen)
    2 cups Sugar Snap Stir Fry Veggies (frozen)
    3 oz Chicken Breast Meat (diced)
    5 oz Turkey Breast Meat (diced)
    1/2 c Chopped Scallions (green onions)
    3 T - I can't believe it's Butter Fat Free
    1 c Brown Rice (precooked)
    2-3 Garlic Cloves (diced finely)
    2 tsp Season Salt
    1 T Paprika
    1 tsp White or Black Pepper

Directions

Saute onion & garlic in 3 T Fat Free butter till onion is soft. Then add the diced Chicken & Turkey meat. Saute for about 10 minutes. Add frozen veggies, season salt, paprika and pepper. Let simmer till everything is hot (no longer frozen). Add precooked Brown Rice. Mix well and let simmer about 3-5 minutes.
Serves 9 (1/2c servings)
OPTIONAL: ADD 1T Grated Parmesan Cheese
(this adds 22.8 calories & 1.5 fat)

  • I think this recipe is great. It has a little spicy kick but not a lot so that gives it very good flavor. I like the meat but it is not too much and is well rounded in flavor - 8/5/10
