Introduction

Sports drinks like Gatorade are GREAT for refueling after heavy sweating, but you are paying boatloads for basically colored, flavored sugar/salt water! Make your own using stuff you already have and stay away from all the chemicals. Sports drinks like Gatorade are GREAT for refueling after heavy sweating, but you are paying boatloads for basically colored, flavored sugar/salt water! Make your own using stuff you already have and stay away from all the chemicals.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    3 T. sugar
    1/8 t. salt
    3 T. fruit juice (calories in recipe calculated using lime juice)
    Water and ice

Directions

Mix sugar, salt, and fruit juice in a 20 oz. container. Fill half way with water. Mix/shake well. Add ice to fill container and then fill remainder with water. Mix/shake again and enjoy. If you are making ahead and chilling, no need to add ice.

Makes 1 serving.
