8 oz. crab meat
2 cans tomatoes with juice
2 cups water
1-1/2 teaspoons Better than Bouillon Clam base or vegetable broth seasoning
1/4 cup onion minced
1/4 cup celery
1/2 teaspoon dehydrated garlic
2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
2 bay leaves
2 packets stevia - optional
2 tablespoons unsweetened Almond Breeze (Almond Milk) - optional*
A generous grinding of black pepper -optional
* Can use milk instead
Puree tomatoes in a food processor or blender. Pour into a saucepan. Add the crab, water,clam base, onion, celery, garlic Old Bay Seasoning, bay leaves. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until onion and celery are tender. Add the stevia, Almond Milk and a generous grinding of black pepper and serve.
Makes 2 servings of about 3 cups each ( HCG protocol: 1 protein, 1 vegetable).
HCG Phase 3 modifications: Add half and half or cream.
