Homemade Nestle Tollhouse Monster Cookies, small batch

Homemade Nestle Tollhouse Monster Cookies, small batch

Introduction

I had a feeling other recipes here on Sparkpeople weren't quite showing the calorie load that my cookies have, so I wanted to be completely honest!

I made this half batch of cookies because we wanted to have a controlled binge! LOL I only had about 1/2 cup of choc. chips anyway, but I like to add walnuts and oatmeal, so here it is!

This makes 16 really nice sized cookies, approximately one golf ball sized ball of dough. I wish I had measured the grams, but at least you know my serving size, and it's the calories are scary!....but, hey... "THE MORE YOU KNOW!"

Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 1/8 cup flour
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 C chopped walnuts
    1/2 C oats
    1/2 C chocolate chips

    1 stick butter
    1/4 + 1/8 C granulated sugar
    1/4 + 1/8 C brown sugar, packed
    1 large egg
    .5 tsp vanilla extract

    Makes 16 cookies.

Tips

I use my Kitchenaid mixer for this.

Directions

Combine dry ingredients (flour, soda, salt, oatmeal), set aside.

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add egg. Mix until blended. Slowly add the flour mixture until blended. Mix in nuts and chocolate chips until blended.

Scoop round balls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 12 min at 375.

Let cool slightly and place on a cooling rack until you can't stand it anymore and have to eat them.

Makes 16 cookies.

omg, I can't believe you were able to make them anyway, it looks like I left off the values for the oatmeal and nuts and didn't mention putting the egg in there after creaming the sugar! I guess I had better fix the recipe. Sorry!!!
