Green Pea Casserole

Number of Servings: 6
2 cups frozen green peas
1 recipe cream of something soup
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup 2 % reduced fat cheddar cheese
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 Tbsp butter
1 (5 oz) can water chestnuts, drained (optional)
1 (2 oz) jar pimentos, drained (optional)
Lightly grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Saute onion unitl slightly tender. In a medium bowl, combine the sauted onion, peas and cream of something soup (Mix in the water chestnuts and pimento too, if using them). Pour into casserole dish and top with cheese. Melt butter and combine with the wheat germ. Spread this over the cheese. Bake @ 375 for about 25-30 minutes. Makes 4 main dish servings or 6 side dish servings.

I would like to make this, but it does not give me the quantity of milk that I am suppose to use. Once I know that I will make it and certainly rate it. Thank You - 5/11/10

Oops, I'm sorry. There is no milk in this recipe. I have fixed that!
