1 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup chopped carrot 3 cloves garlic 2-3 small red potatoes(mine measured 300 grams) 1/2 cup dry split peas(rinsed & soaked overnight) salt/pepper/seasonings
chop onion & carrot--saute in 1 TBSP EVOO add garlic @ the end. add 3 cups water to crockpot, vege boulion cube(not necessary), split peas & potato. Once onion, carrot & garlic is done sauteeing add to crockpot too. Add seasonings: salt/pepper & any other seasonings you desire. Cook on High 4-6 Hours. Stirring a bit more towards the end of the cooking time--also use a potato masher to mash the potatoes a bit too at the end.
