Submitted by: GILLIEGRL

Introduction

I never liked brussel sprouts as a child until I tried them like this. It the best way I've ever had them prepared. I never liked brussel sprouts as a child until I tried them like this. It the best way I've ever had them prepared.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Non-stick Spray
1 quart fresh Brussel Sprouts, washed and cut in half
    1/2 cup Chicken Broth
    1 tbs Bacon Bits
1 tbs Red Wine Vinegar / Cider Vinegar or to taste
1 tbs White Wine or to taste

Directions

1) Heat a pan over medium heat and spray nonstick spray on the pan.
2) Place brussel sprouts, cut side down, in the pan.
3) Once brussel sprouts are seared (3-5 min), add bacon bits and chicken broth. Cook covered for about 5 minutes.
4) Sprinkle vinegar and wine over sprouts and cook uncovered for another minute.
5) Serve HOT. I don't think they are better cold.

Makes 4 servings, but my family of 5 splits with no leftovers.
