Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey or lean beef 93% lean
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 (8 oz) can pineapple tidbits in own juice, well drained
4 slicwes bacon, halfway cooked in microwave (about 2-3 minutes)

Directions

Adjust oven rack 6 inches from heat source. Preheat broiler. Coat a broiler pan and rack with nonstick spray.
In a medium bowl, mix ground beef, 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce and ginger until well blended. Gently mix in pineapple. Shape mixture into four patties, each about 1 1/2 inches thick. Wrap a bacon slice around the outside of each patty, secure with wooden pick. Broil patties for 9 minutes (do not turn over). Brush patties with remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Broil 5 minutes longer, or until completely cooked. (if using a quality ground beef, you may broil for only 3 minutes for a medium done burger)
