IntroductionThis is adapted from a Hungry Girl Recipe... I use light whole wheat bread instead of the hot dog buns the recipe calls for. This is adapted from a Hungry Girl Recipe... I use light whole wheat bread instead of the hot dog buns the recipe calls for.
6 slices light wheat bread
2T warm water
2t sugar free french vanilla creamer
2/3 cup egg substitute
sugar free pancake syrup (optional, not included in nutritional information)
2. Heat skillet sprayed with nonstick spray over medium to medium-high heat.
3. Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture (both sides) and place in pan two at a time. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Repeat twice more with remaining slices of bread.
4. Place two pieces french toast on each plate. Serve with sugar free pancake syrup or dust with powdered sugar (or Splenda) if desired. Eat and enjoy!
