Introduction

My favourite breakfast! I first tasted a version of this on our honeymoon cruise with Holland America Cruise Lines. I'll bet their version isn't as healthy as this one! My favourite breakfast! Ingredients

    2 cups rolled oats (I like the large flake oats, not quick oats)
    1 T. honey
    1 cup 1% milk
    1/4 cup sliced almonds
    1 medium apple
    1 cup (or more) fat free yogurt -any flavour- I like vanilla

Directions

Measure oats into a plastic container with a lid. Add honey and milk and mix together.
Leave in the fridge overnight for the milk to absorb into the oats.
In the morning, core the apple and grate it. Leave on the peeling for the fiber. Add grated apple and almonds to the oat mixture.
I keep this mixture in the fridge for a few days, taking out 1/5 of it for each serving and adding enough yogurt to make it moist and creamy.
This is also wondeful with berries or sliced grapes added.
