This is drink is part of the Master Cleanse. The website above has the info if you want to do it right. It should be done with 'B' grade Maple Syrup, which has more nutrients, and purified water. - 8/28/07

  • i am going to try this, sounds good. Lemons are great for you. I drink the juice of 1 or 2 lemons daily for cleansing, maple syrup and cayenne would break the monotony. - 9/4/07

  • What about the side effects, I would think that there would be some type of side effects for drinking cayenne pepper and maple syrup. - 9/4/07

  • Yes I have the Master Cleanse detox book and it does say that for best effect, it should be made with Grade B Pure Maple Syrup (many Health food stores will carry it). The B grade is not as "pretty" but has more of the nutrients, like potassium and zinc. The A grade is more refined, too sugary. - 9/3/07

  • SARAEVANGELINE, green tea will make the drink bitter, but if you want the goodness of green tea and lemon juice i suggest ditching the syrup and squeezing some lemon juice into your green tea :D - 8/30/07
