Yes I have the Master Cleanse detox book and it does say that for best effect, it should be made with Grade B Pure Maple Syrup (many Health food stores will carry it). The B grade is not as "pretty" but has more of the nutrients, like potassium and zinc. The A grade is more refined, too sugary. - 9/3/07
