2 small Bosc Pears, halved, core removed, and trimmed slightly to stand flat 2 Tbsp sugar 1/2 vanilla bean, split, scraped 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 2 Tbsp water
Peel pears, if desired, otherwise, put in oven proof dish sitting upright. Sprinkle with Lemon juice and sugar. Scrape vanilla seeds over fruit and drizzle with water. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, baste with juices and continue to bake for 10 minutes until tender. Drizzle carmelized juices over pears and let cool. Serve plain or over ice cream, oatmeal, etc.
