Cayenne Tofu

Introduction

Great to eat as a sandwich with lettuce and tomato, or by itself. Great to eat as a sandwich with lettuce and tomato, or by itself.

Ingredients

    Tofu -- 1 block (extra firm), 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp pepper, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tbsp sage, 3 pats butter.

Directions

Slice tofu block into four sections. Drain water from each slice. Mix pepper, cayenne pepper, sage, and salt in small bowl and then transfer to plate. Dip both sides of tofu slices in seasoning until each side is covered. Heat pan. Place butter in pan and sautee garlic. Cook each side for 4-5 minutes. Serve with whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, and veganese or side of favorite vegetables. Seasoninng can be tweaked to your liking.
