Apple Meat Loaf

Introduction

Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    White Bread, 1 slice
    Egg, fresh, 1 medium
    Ground beef, lean, 8 oz
    Apples, fresh, .5 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per l
    Brown Sugar, 4.5 tsp unpacked
    Beef Soup Base, 1 tbsp
    Pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Peel, core and finely chop or grate apple.
Reduce bread to crumbs, or chop finely.
Combine all ingredients except for 1.5 tbsp of brown sugar.

Shape loaf-like in baking dish with lid, or ensure you can cover it with tin foil.

Sprinkle remaining brown sugar on top of loaf. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until done.

Remove cover and leave in oven for remainder of cooking time, but DO NOT overcook.

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or whatever side pleases you.
