Introduction

I absolutely love Ruben Sandwiches but corned beef is out of the question with one slice having 69 grams of fat on a low fat diet. I decided to change out turkey for the corned beef, used low fat thousand island and low fat swiss and I have one that is great and that workes for my low fat lifestyle. Ingredients

    Bread, pita, whole-wheat, 1 pita, small (4" dia)Cut in half
    Thousand Island Salad Dressing, low calorie, 1 tbsp halved
    Turkey breast meat, 4 slices halved
    Sauerkraut, .25 cup halved
    Dill Pickles, 1 slice cholled and halved
    Swiss Cheese, Reduced Fat, 1 oz cut in half

Directions

Spread 1/2 of dressing in halved pita. Place one half of all incredients in each half. Heat a non stick skillet and warm until cheese melts. Serve with a salad for lunch. Enjoy.
