Indian Spiced Sloppy Joes

Introduction

Based on Aarti Sequeira's Bombay Joes - I used diced tomatoes but would use tomato sauce in the future. I'm still experimenting with it. Based on Aarti Sequeira's Bombay Joes - I used diced tomatoes but would use tomato sauce in the future. I'm still experimenting with it.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Ground Turkey (or could use other ground meat)
    Diced Tomatoes (but I would use Tomato Sauce in the future and cut out the sugar, worchestershire, and vinegar which were added to deepen the flavor)
    Garlic, Chopped
    Ginger, Chopped
    Serrano Pepper, Chopped
    Paprika
    Garam Masala
    Ground Ginger
    Cinnamon
    Ground Cumin
    Canola Oil (I would cut this down a lot too, especially if using a higher fat meat)

Directions

Saute Garlic, Ginger Root, and Pepper in Oil, add ground meat until brown, add spices and tomatoes, simmer.

Makes 6 servings
