Introduction

Ingredients



    * *Cavatappi (1lb box)
    * Bacon, 6 medium slices
    * Butter, salted, 1 tbsp
    * *Flour, white, 3Tbs
    *1/2tsp onion flakes
    * salt
    * pepper to taste
    * *Kraft 2% Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 8 oz
    * 2% colby and monterey jack cheese, 1 cup
    * *2% Kraft Mozzarella, 1 cup
    * *American Cheese 2 slices, 4 serving
    * Milk, 2%, 2 cup

Directions

-heat oven to 350, spray 3qt broiler safe baking dish with nonstick spray
-Cook cavatappi 8min in boiling water, meanwhile cook bacon in separate pan, heat until crisp (6min) transfer to paper towels, drain drippings, add butter.
-Whisk in flour until smooth, in a thin stream whisk in milk. Stir in onion flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil over med high heat and simmer 2min.
-in a large bowl toss together cheddar, colby-jack, and mozzarella
-Remove milk mixture from heat whisk in American cheese and 1 1/4c cheddar mix. Toss bacon pieces with remaining cheddar
-in pasta pot combine cooked pasta and cheese sauce. pour half into prepared dish. Sprinkle with a generous cup of bacon and cheese mixture. Repeat layering.
-Bake at 350 for 20mins, increase oven temp to broil and broil for 3min until top is lightly browned. Cool slightly before serving.
