green bean and potato side dish

Ingredients

    6 1/2 slices hormel bacon cooked
    11 small potato's cubed
    1 lrg onion diced
    4 cups green beans snaped into 1 inch pieces
    12 cups water
    seasoning salt
    garlic powder
    pepper

Directions

poor 12 cups water in to large soup pan.
add cubed potatoes, diced onion, crumbled bacon and green beans.
bring to boil. season to taste.
cover and reduce heat to simmer (just below the boiling point)for about 2 hours. let it cook down till it is a thick soupie consistancy. stir occasionally so that it will not burn on the bottom or stick.

you can eat this as a soup, or let it cook down till most of the water is gone and serve as a side dish with your favorite meat.

makes 14servings (3/4 cup each)
