Strawberry Preserves

Introduction

I use this instead of jam or as an addition to plain yogurt. If you're going sugar free you can add sweetener instead of the sugar. I use this instead of jam or as an addition to plain yogurt. If you're going sugar free you can add sweetener instead of the sugar.

Ingredients

    1 cup strawberries, halved
    6 tsp granulated sugar

Directions

- Heat strawberries and sugar in a pan over medium heat until it reaches a boil.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat
- Remove the white scum from the surface.
- Let cool and store in a glass jar or plastic container in the fridge.
